Week 42

Week 39: 210.6
Week 40: 209
Week 41: 208
Week 42: 207

I am definitely pleased to see the downward trend this month. My total lost is 40.6 so I am still behind in my quest to lose 52 in 52. I need to lose 11.4 pounds in the next 11 weeks. In those next 11 weeks there is a trip to Nebraska, a trip to Austin to have Thanksgiving with our son and family, and then Christmas.

I'm still getting my regular exercise which I am tracking on CalorieKing.com.

Week 41

Week 39: 210.6
Week 40: 209
Week 41: 208

Loss of one pound for the week. Total loss is 39.6 pounds. I am still 1.4 pounds behind.

I actually think it is tougher for me being back in the United States. But at least the downward trend is continuing.

Week 40

It hardly seems possible that 40 weeks have passed by this year. When you are a kid time passes so slowly, now for me it flies by.

Week 1: 247.6
Week 40: 209
Loss of 38.6

Now I am 1.4 pounds behind in my quest to lose 52 in 52 weeks.

I have lost 1.6 from week 39.

I'm preparing to go walking so will close for this week.

Week 38

Oh my, oh my...things are falling apart for me. I'm so far off of my objective that I don't know if I can get back on course.

Week 37 we arrived in Dulles from Johannesburg via Senegal at 7:00 a.m. We went to the rental car location and began the drive to Susan, VA where Aaron's brother and wife lives. It was all downhill from there for me.

My sis-in-law is an incredible cook and when she has company she pulls out all the stops. And while that is good, it is also very bad for a person who has a weight loss goal in mind.

On the last day of August I weighed 215.4 and today (week 38) I weighed 215.2. Not much of an improvement and puts me WAY behind. After eating L's great cooking and incredible desserts I saw my weight climbing and not so slowly. The day we left Africa I was 213 and the day we left Virginia I was 217. FOUR POUNDS! I'm very disappointed in myself that I couldn't just say NO NO NO. At one point I said I wasn't going to have any more desserts (that was after a piece of coconut cream pie). Her response was, "We'll see about that.

I had reached my goal of 213 by the 16th and I was hoping to be 211 by Sept. 30 but I haven't had a 4 pound loss in one week in an incredibly long time.

Week 1: 247.6
Week 35: 214.4
Week 36: 213
Week 37: did not weigh
Week 38: 215.2

I am now 6 pounds behind in my quest to lose 52 in 52 weeks.

But.....this will not deter me. There are 14 weeks left in the year. I need to average 1.4 pounds loss per week to make my goal. With God's help, and my determination I WILL SUCCEED.

Week 36

36 weeks have already passed into history in 2009. Unfortunately I have not lost 36 pounds but I'm close....34.6, so I'm still a little behind, but not quite as far behind as last week.

Sept. 3: 214.4
Sept. 10: 213 Loss of 1.4 pounds for the week. I exercised almost 3 hours this past week--most of it walking to or from the mall.

January 1: 247.6
Sept. 10: 213

It feels so good to be in control.

Next week I will not be reporting as we will be somewhere out over the Atlantic Ocean. When we arrive in Wash. D.C. at 6:00 a.m. I will not be going to a restroom, taking off my clothes, digging out my scale and weighing--not after having sat on an airplane for 18-20 hours. So my next report will be Week 38.
